Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legal agreement between you ("Customer") and NJ CaRental ("Company") governing the rental of vehicles. By renting a vehicle from NJ Rent A Car, you agree to abide by these Terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding with your rental.

1. Rental Agreement:
   • The rental agreement is between the Customer and NJ CaRental.
   • The rental period begins and ends as stated in the rental agreement.
   • The Customer must return the vehicle at the agreed time and location. Failure to do so may result in additional charges.

   Driver Requirements:
   • The Customer must be at least 21 years old to rent a vehicle. Additional age restrictions may apply to certain vehicle categories.
   • 
     
   • A valid driver's license and a major credit card in the Customer's name are required at the time of rental.
3. 
   
   Vehicle Use:
   • The Customer agrees to use the rented vehicle only for lawful purposes and in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
   • 
     
     The vehicle must not be driven:
     • By anyone other than the Customer and any additional authorized drivers listed on the rental agreement.
     • Under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any other substances impairing driving ability.
   • 
     
   • The Customer is responsible for any fines, penalties, or violations incurred during the rental period.
4. Insurance:
   • The rental vehicle is provided with basic insurance coverage. Additional insurance options are available at the Customer's expense.
   • 
     
   • The Customer is responsible for any damage to the vehicle, theft, or loss during the rental period, up to the full value of the vehicle.
5. Payment and Charges:
   • Rental charges are based on the rates agreed upon at the time of reservation and may vary based on factors such as rental duration, vehicle type, and additional services.
   • 
     
   • Payment is due at the beginning of the rental period and must be made using a major credit card.
   • 
     
   • Additional charges may apply for late returns, fuel refills, cleaning fees, tolls, and other services.
   • 
     
   • SMOKING and BRINGING OF PETS inside the vehicle is NOT ALLOWED. A penalty of Php 3,000.00 will be charge if violated. 
   • 
     
6. Cancellation and Modification:
   • 
     
   • Cancellations and modifications to reservations are subject to the Company's policies and may result in fees or charges.
   • 
     
   • The Customer must notify the Company of any changes to the reservation in advance.
7. 
   
   Vehicle Condition:
   • The Customer agrees to return the vehicle in the same condition as it was rented, with normal wear and tear excepted.
   • Any damage to the vehicle must be reported to the Company immediately.

   Liability:
   • The Company is not liable for any loss or damage to personal property left in the vehicle during the rental period.
   • The Customer is responsible for any liability arising from the use of the vehicle, including but not limited to accidents, injuries, and property damage.
9. 
   
   Governing Law:
   • These Terms and any disputes arising from or related to them shall be governed by the laws of the Philippines.
10. 
    
    Severability:
    • If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

By renting a vehicle from NJ CaRental, the Customer acknowledges and agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. NJ CaRental reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time without prior notice.
